By Paul Fitzgerald
We
have come to know him as a picker... a finder and rescuer of objects.
But
Mike Wolfe is saving much more than objects.
His
passion is fueled by a soul-deep appreciation of America’s history, values, and
stories.
Those
are the treasures he seeks... in rusted, worn, no-longer-perfect things. In
two-lane roads that lead over a rise and then who knows where. In small towns, crumbling
buildings, wrinkled faces.
He
is America’s curator, preserving what he finds for the rest of us.
Fans
who admire Wolfe, who is the co-star of the History Channel’s hit TV show
American Pickers, will now get to learn more about him. Wolfe has landed on the cover of HOSS. He is
being featured in the magazine’s fall issue which hits the newsstands across
the United States and Canada on August 25, 2015.
HOSS
Magazine is providing the media with a sneak-peek of the next issue and will
provide behind the scenes photos and footage during Wolfe’s interview with
HOSS.
With
a massive readership across North America, HOSS is one of the most innovative
magazines that is known as the “home owner’s simple solution.” The magazine is
“your one stop shop for finding helpful, exciting and fun information to help
you enjoy your home MORE.”
Sean
Rice, the publisher of HOSS, says his entire team is thrilled to have Wolfe on
the cover of the fall issue.
“He
is sure a fascinating person,” says Rice. “I had the chance to meet him and he
is down-to-earth, personable, approachable, and innovative. You know right away
that he is a genuine treasure hunter and one who is so passionate with
collecting moments and stories of sorts.”
Rice
adds, “The media and our large readership will certainly enjoy his story and
his rise to fame. Most of all everyone will get a deeper insight to what makes
him tick and how he has created a unique brand as the ‘Jack Kerouac of Junk,’
as the New York Times calls him.”
To
celebrate Wolfe making the next cover of the magazine, HOSS and Music City are
now hosting a big contest: We Want To Send You To Nashville. The prize trip
includes: Up to $1,000 stipend for airfare; 3 night hotel accommodations at the
Renaissance Nashville Hotel; Meet and greet with Mike Wolfe of American Pickers
and Antique Archaeology; Music City Backstage Attraction Pass (Good for 2
people to over 30 area attractions and venues); and a Music City Gift Bag.
The
contest, which runs from August 25, 2015 to October 11, 2015, is being
sponsored by HOSS, Renaissance Nashville Hotel and Nashville Music City. Readers
