Of course, this isn’t the first time heat’s been used to generate electricity. For years, scientists have harnessed underwater volcanoes to generate geothermal energy. And on a more practical level, we’ve seen camp stoves that charge your phone. But this is the first time this technology’s been captured in a consumer product as small as a watch.

Science geekery aside, it’s actually a nice-looking timepiece with some cool functions. And through its Indiegogo campaign, you can currently nab one for about $100, more than a 40% discount off the expected retail, with initial delivery planned for this July.

“I Don’t Wanna Get Wise”, a brand new song from THE WHO, can be streamed below. The track is taken from the band’s first album in 13 years, titled “Who”, which due for release on December 6 (pushed back from the previously announced November 22).

THE WHO has one of the greatest rock legacies in music history — they’re one of the all-time great live bands, have sold over 100 million records worldwide and scored nine U.S. and 10 U.K .top ten albums and 14 U.K. top 10 singles in a career spanning six decades.

The songs on “Who” cover a myriad of subjects, including the Grenfell Tower fire, musical theft, spirituality, reincarnation, the power of memory and “an old rock star that has lost his marbles.” Singer Roger Daltrey rates it amongst their strongest.

“I think we’ve made our best album since ‘Quadrophenia’ in 1973,” he said. “Pete [Townshend, guitar] hasn’t lost it — he’s still a fabulous songwriter, and he’s still got that cutting edge.”

Added Townshend: “This album is almost all new songs written last year, with just two exceptions. There is no theme, no concept, no story, just a set of songs that I (and my brother Simon) wrote to give Roger Daltrey some inspiration, challenges and scope for his newly revived singing voice.

“Roger and I are both old men now, by any measure, so I’ve tried to stay away from romance, but also from nostalgia, if I can. I didn’t want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Memories are okay, and some of the songs refer to the explosive state of things today.

“I made new home studio demos of all these songs in the summer of 2018 using a wide collection of instruments old and new. We started recording as THE WHO in March 2019, and have finished now in late August just in time to make some vinyl — maybe even some cassettes — ready for release in November.”

Two songs on the record — the epic “Ball And Chain“ and string-laden “Hero Ground Zero“ — recently got their world premiere when the band played with a 40-piece orchestra to a packed Wembley Stadium. Spring 2020 will see the band embarking on a U.K. tour featuring an orchestra.

Nico, as he is known in the motorsports world, just celebrated his first Formula 4 win at the NACAM Formula 4 Championship in Mexico City in late October. His performance on the track was fueled with pure speed and magnificent precision, and the sold out crowd of 345,000 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez – home to the Mexican Grand Prix – rose to their feet and cheered as he zoomed over the finish line. The roar from the stadium was heard for miles… and miles.

Nico, who hails from Toronto, is the youngest F4 driver. According to media, fans, and motorsport coaches and critics alike, the 14 year-old is set to be a popular Formula 1 competitor in the very near future.

Nico is now a celebrity in Mexico, Brazil, the United States, and Canada, and will soon race in the next round of NACAM F4 races in Aguascalientes, Mexico – December 14-15. He is now training in Houston, Texas, and is all set for another big win on the track next month in front of thousands of fans.

With a passion for competing on international racetracks, this young teen has just been crowned by Mexican fans with a new nickname too – ‘Nacho.’

Toronto teen tops the podium at the 2019-2020 NACAM Formula 4 Championship at the F1 Grand Prix in Mexico City

He’s only 14 years old, has the need for speed, and is always making Canada proud while racing laps around the track with total precision.

Meet Nicholas Christodoulou, better known in the motorsports’ world as ‘Nico,’ and many contend that he will one day join the ranks of Formula 1 race car drivers. This is his dream and winning more races and attracting big-name sponsors will help him soon race in the big league.

Over the last year, Nico has been busy representing Canada on international racetracks, and his first Formula 4 win came at the NACAM Formula 4 Championship in Mexico City. Held at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on October 26th in front of a sold out crowd of 345,000 people, the event attracted scores of leading F4 drivers from across Mexico, Brazil, the United States, and Canada.

“I am so happy with the big win, and I am very humbled with everyone’s support,” says Nico. “The biggest thrill was to bring ‘glory back home’ to Canada, and of course it was unbelievably awesome to line-up on the same grid as the F1 drivers at the Mexican Grand Prix. The experience in Mexico City was truly amazing and it’s one I will never forget. The credit goes to my Mom, Dad, Sisters, friends, coaches, team, and fans for supporting me and cheering me on!”

The young motorsport celebrity has many accomplishments and is looking to continue this momentum, stepping up to F4 from a winning karting career. As the youngest F4 driver, he will be continuing to race in the FIA F4 NACAM Championship this winter, and has signed with DeForce Racing for the 2020 USF4 Championship series.

Nico is now widely popular on the international stage, and here at home he is a hometown hero. In fact, last December he was formally Introduced to the entire Legislative Assembly of Ontario at Queens Park and recognized for his long-list of achievements in racing, and Nico also had the opportunity to express how proud he was to represent Ontario and Canada on the world-stage.

So, what are his next goals? You guessed it – they are huge!

“I will continue to hone my skills in racing and my big plan is to win premier open-wheel championships on my way to IndyCar or Fomula 1.
