The United States (U.S.) Military is always on the hunt for new, innovative, and tactful ways to fight the war on terror.
In the aftermath of 9/11 so much has changed as we all know full well. Since the horrific terror attacks on U.S. soil, the Military, under the direction of its government, has taken a large number of actions in protecting its nation, allies, and friends against the transnational dangers and enduring threats arising from global terrorism.
The world has now changed with terrorism being part the international landscape.
Discovering new methods in being combat ready is more important than ever before.
Enter William Roy, U.S. Army – 63rd USAR.
The 28 year-old says he has discovered a new invention that is like no other - one which he says will more than help troops be combat ready at all times, no matter the situation.
You see, Roy is using a new sport orthotic that aligns your jaw, placing in its optimal position. It’s proven that when your jaw is aligned, then it has positive benefits on the body.
Yes, it’s only a mouthpiece, but this is a technological marvel that allows anyone to reach their full potential naturally. More importantly, the device stabilizes one’s bite and steadies the body when firing weapons, allowing for more accuracy.
It wasn’t too long ago when Roy heard about the device, called the New Age Performance Mouthpiece.
At the recent Mr. Olympia Show in Las Vegas, Roy had the opportunity to meet Dr. Anil Makkar, the co-inventor of the device and Rob Charlton, co-owner of the company.
After a few simple tests proving the powers of jaw alignment, Roy was sold on the device right away, and since then has been using it while on duty and at the gym working out.
“I have tried all sorts of mouthpieces on the market and to be honest a lot of them are nothing but gimmicks,” he says. “When I first heard about the device I was quite skeptical, but then Dr. Makkar did some tests on me and I was more than blown away. I use the device day in and day out and I am telling everyone I know about it, even my comrades in the military.”
Roy has done tours abroad and is proud to play his role in fighting the war on terror. Now he is part of a specialized unit that focuses on readiness and response for domestic terror related incidences.
It’s a tough job and he, like all members of his team, need that extra magic to perform better under high-intense situations.
He says the device is the solution in allowing the body to be more in tune, allowing him and others who use it to reach their peak performance.
“When I use the device, I don’t feel tired; I feel great,” he says. “I feel like I can lift more and my strength, balance, flexibility and range of motion are greatly improved. So, what’s all the magic behind the device that Roy and so many people are now raving about?
Well, it’s actually all based on science but yet simple to explain.
The device is placed on the back of your lower teeth. Once it’s locked in, your jaw alignment is more structurally sound. Years of research has proven that when your jaw is properly aligned, then your body is more able to reach its ultimate performance. Most of the population has a bite issue, so this new technology is a breakthrough on many levels.
Rutgers University recently released a research paper on proper jaw alignment and concluded it has a definite positive impact on athletic performance.
Dr. Makkar, who has studied jaw alignment techniques extensively at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dentistry, explains that there have been a lot of scientific studies on performance mouthpieces and jaw alignment dating back to the 1950s.
“Several research and scientific papers have clearly stated that when one’s bite is in the correct position, the alignment of your body is also affected in a positive way. Our new device, worn on the lower teeth, will allow everyone to experience immediate results with balance, increased strength, and flexibility,” says Dr. Makkar, a well-known neuromuscular dentist.
“The invention is all about speed, strength, skill and precision, and there’s that moment it all comes together,” adds Dr. Makkar.
At the Arnold Sports Festival, a four-day event held in Columbus, OH (February 27 to March 2, 2014), the device was featured as a new and innovative sports enhancer to athletes and bodybuilders from around the world. And it was a huge hit at the show.
Charlton says that he and Dr. Makkar had the opportunity to also introduce their device to members of the military at the big event. And they also fit a number of Ohio State Troopers with the mouthpiece and they were immediately impressed with the results.
“What we are hearing from Roy and others in the U.S. military is that our device is a new breakthrough,” says Charlton. “Everyone is beyond impressed with our device as it takes the power of neuromuscular dentistry to a whole new level.
